Kahli
Kahli is a Sri Lankan electronic music artist and multi-genre selector shaping the island’s evolving underground scene. Raised in Sri Lanka and having begun her career across Europe and China, she has emerged as a recognized female presence behind the decks and an advocate for sustainable, community-driven music culture in South Asia.
Through her project KAHLAJ, Kahli has played a key role in expanding Sri Lanka’s connection to high-energy, leftfield electronic styles including 140, dubstep, hypnotic techno, bass, and breakbeats. Her events and performances emphasize inclusivity, experimentation, and cultural exchange, helping bridge regional underground scenes.
Touring across India, Thailand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, she has shared stages with internationally recognized artists such as Ancient Methods, Phasmid, Rotate, and KHXDEEJ. Known for her percussive, euphoric, and acid-tinged sound, Kahli captivates late-night dance floors with a dynamic and expressive performance style.
Genre-agnostic at heart, her sets blend elements of hip-hop, dub, and reggae with electronic music, creating immersive, story-driven journeys. Inspired by nature and human emotion, her sonic landscapes resonate widely, while her current focus on production marks the next phase of her artistic evolution, with a debut release on the horizon.
